Dr Matt Hudson
Position: Terminal Manager Shell Haven, Shell
Matt joined Shell 8 years ago after completing a Masters in Chemistry and PhD in Chemical Engineering. Initially employed in the UK conducting R&D for the lubricants business, Matt subsequently spent 5 years in Houston, TX, managing and expanding R&D lab capabilities in the area. In 2017 Matt returned to the UK and took up his current role as Terminal Manager at the Shell Haven terminal in Essex. Shell Haven is a top-tier COMAH site, importing c.3million T of Jet-A1 per year. During his time at Shell Matt has been involved in many innovation projects spanning the oil and gas sector, including completing a 3 month assignment at the XPRIZE foundation, to learn about leveraging new technologies and identifying opportunities between industries.
