Accountable for the digital transformation journey of the Pernis Refinery and the Moerdijk Chemical Plant. Utilizing the latest technology developments to change our work processes, ways of working and eventually products, transforming our sites to a new era. Have been working for >10 years within Shell across Upstream & Downstream assets, mainly in Maintenance, Turnaround & Reliability roles in the past.

Summary of both sites:

Shell Pernis is the biggest refinery in Europe and one of the largest in the world, over 1000+ soccer field large with more than 160.000 kilometres of pipelines. Around 60 different units create oil and base chemical products on the base of different crude oils. Shell Moerdijk is one of the largest Chemical Plant in the Netherlands and Europe. With the help of complex processes, we create base chemicals. A large part of the raw materials are delivered via underground pipelines from Pernis. The core of our factory is the ethylene cracker, which results in most of our created products.
